Introduction — clear positionIt is sometimes argued that teenagers should be required to carry out unpaid work in their community as part of their schooling. I strongly agree with this view, as such programmes benefit both the students themselves and society as a whole.
Body 1 — benefit to studentsThe most important advantage is the effect on the students' personal development. Volunteering exposes young people to situations they would never meet in a classroom — organising an event, helping the elderly, or coaching children — and in doing so they develop practical skills such as teamwork, communication and responsibility. These experiences also strengthen a university or job application, giving students an advantage later in life.
Body 2 — benefit to society + counter-argumentIn addition, compulsory community service brings clear benefits to society. Charities and local projects often lack manpower, and a steady supply of student volunteers allows them to do far more than they otherwise could. Making the scheme compulsory rather than optional ensures that all young people, not just the already-motivated, contribute and come to see helping others as normal. Critics argue that forcing students to volunteer removes the goodwill from the act, but in my view the habits and awareness formed usually outlast any initial reluctance.
ConclusionIn conclusion, I firmly believe that unpaid community service should be a required part of secondary education, because it develops well-rounded young people while providing valuable support to the community.

It is sometimes suggested that unpaid community work should be a compulsory element of secondary schooling. I largely agree with this idea, since it benefits both the students and the wider community.
The main advantage lies in the development of the students themselves. When teenagers volunteer — whether by helping at a care home, cleaning a local park or coaching younger children — they gain practical skills and a sense of responsibility that classroom lessons cannot easily provide. Such experiences also make young people more employable, as universities and employers value candidates who have shown commitment to others.
There are also benefits for society. Many charities and community projects are short of helpers, and a regular supply of student volunteers enables them to achieve far more. Furthermore, making the activity compulsory ensures that every student takes part, not only those who are already community-minded. Although some argue that compulsion removes the genuine spirit of volunteering, I believe the positive habits formed usually remain long after school ends.
In conclusion, I firmly agree that community service should be a required part of the school programme, as it produces more capable young people while supporting the community.
Some people believe that students in high school should be required to do unpaid work for their community as part of their studies. I agree with this opinion for several reasons.
Firstly, doing community service is very good for the students. When young people help others, for example by working for a charity or teaching sports to children, they learn important skills such as teamwork and communication. They also become more responsible and confident. In addition, this kind of experience looks good on a university or job application, so it can help them in the future.
Secondly, community service is helpful for society. There are many charities and local organisations that need volunteers, and students can give them a lot of support. If the programme is compulsory, all students will take part and not only the ones who are already interested. Some people think that forcing students to volunteer is not a good idea because it is not from the heart. However, I think that even if students do not want to do it at first, they will learn to enjoy it.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school because it helps both the students and society.
Nowadays some people think that unpaid community service should be compulsory in high school. I agree with this idea because it has many benefits for the students and the community.
The first benefit is for the students. When students do community service like helping in a charity or improving their neighbourhood, they learn new skills and they become more responsible. They also get experience which is useful for their future job or university. So community service is good for their personal development.
The second benefit is for the community. Many organisations need help and they don't have enough people. If students do community service, they can help these organisations a lot. Also if it is compulsory, all the students will do it and this is better for the society. Some people say it should not be compulsory, but in my opinion students will understand that it is important.
In conclusion, I agree that unpaid community service should be compulsory in high school because it is good for the students and the community.
Some people think the student in high school must do the community service without payment. I am agree with this opinion.
Community service have many benefit for the students. When they help other people, for example clean the road or teach the sport to small children, they learn many thing and they become good person. Also it is help them to get job in future because the company like the student who have experience.
It is also good for the society. Many charity need the help and the student can do this help. If it is compulsory, all the student will do it, not only some student. So the community will get more benefit. Some people don't like this idea but I think it is not a big problem.
In conclusion, I am agree that the community service should be compulsory in high school because it is good for the student and the society.
